Free typeface


Yanone Kaffeesatz is a condensed display family, loosely based on 1920s coffee house typefaces.

Available in four weights, figures and currency symbols are monospaced, so they can be used for setting tabular menus.

Does anyone make a living designing typefaces, if so many are available for free ?

A select few make a very comfortable living... most struggle to make ends meet, owing to the abundance of free fonts, and the ease with which commercial typefaces can be copied
