Othmar Muhlebach recently won second prize at the Berner Design Award 09 with this toaster design. Sliced bread is stacked and fed from the top, it's then toasted and ejected onto the base.

Wow - love the look of that - all it needs is a small fridge for the butter and jam by the side of it - oh and a kettle!
