Now that's what I call getting old!

I purchased a copy of the first issue of 'Now That's What I Call Music' in 1983. It was intended as a 'one-off' release (it didn't have a number or even an exclamation mark after its title) and I knew every one of the songs on it.

:-)

what i don't get is that most of the ones i do know (The Ting Tings, Ida Maria and Little Jackie...) were being played months and months ago on 6Music (BBC radio station for old people who still like new music)

and why two by that horrid kate perry girl? wasn't one bad enough?

*brett wanders off into distance making grumbling noises*

Tomorrow night, I shall be one of three men singing the bass line of an a capella arrangement of Love Cats - in the Christmas concert of the Leamington Spa and Warwick Songlines Community Choir.

We're wonderfully, wonderfully, wonderfully, wonderfully pretty....
