Google Tips

(Apologies to those of you for who this is REALLY old news. The reason for this blog is that I regularly come across people who don't know this stuff).

There aren't many people left online who don't use Google to look for things. However, it is capable of doing a lot more than just searching for stuff.

Currency Exchange: Type $??? in pounds to get the latest rates.

Movies: Type movie:??? for a roundup of reviews.

Telephone: Type in the name and post/zipcode of the company.

Calculator: Type in any basic equation.

Unit Conversion: Type 2.3 kilograms = ? pounds.

Dictionary: Type define:???

Aye, I've been using this for a long time, myself, and I'm still amazed at how many people don't know about it. Are you aware it also does product price searches, all manner of unit conversions, and it has been rumoured that soon there will even be translations...

Hi Skep, you know, the unit conversion was the one that prompted me to do the blog in the first place... just forgot to put it in!! Thanks for the reminder, I'll put that one in too!
